MDT is thrilled to bring you a wonderful adaptation of Mark Twin's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer written by Georgette Kleier. We are guided through this familiar classic by none other than Mark Twain himself. This TYA musical, music and lyrics by Bill Corcoran, is sure to bring lots of laughter and enjoyment to your students, and give them a fresh take on a well known story of friendship and integrity.
Twain's Tale of Tom and Huck is a delight to audiences both young and old! It's a comedic coming-of-age story of friendship and integrity. Eveyone is familiar with the story of Tom and Huck, but you've never seen it narrated by Mark Twain himself. The catchy songs are sure to make your toes tap and bring a big smile to your face. Other favorite roles have been Eddie in Pump Boys and Dinettes, Samuel in The Pirates of Penzance, Mr. Laurence in Little Women, Grimsby in Disney's The Little Mermaid, and his favorite role of all time Noah in The Ark. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Matthew has had the great privilege to have toured, performed, & taught as a guest teaching artist in many theaters in over 40 states across the country. Love Ruddell has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University! They have most recently been seen in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), A Chorus Line (Val), and Noises Off (Brooke). Love would like to thank the entire cast/team for a wonderful experience and their amazing partner Matthew for their continuous love and support.
Jamie graduated from Western Illinois University in May 2022 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Other favorite credits include Witch Sisters at Cedar Point and Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. In her free time, she loves grabbing coffee, going for walks, or watching Bob’s Burgers!
Trent is a senior Musical Theatre Major at the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a proud Dallas native and is ecstatic about his debut at MDT! Some credits include: Eddie in Very Good Eddie; Gabe in Next to Normal; Mendel in Falsettos. He hopes you all enjoy the show!
Henry Allan is an actor, composer, director, and writer in the Chicagoland area. His work has been seen on stage and can be heard on various streaming platforms. Some credits include: Dewey Finn (School of Rock), Jon (tick, tick…BOOM!), and Javert (Les Miserables). He keeps himself busy in between jobs being hunched over his piano and computer writing musicals. He has loved getting to know all of the wonderful humans who are involved with this spectacular production. He thanks them and, as always, his friends and family for their constant support for his passion.
Eli is an 8th grader at Fountain Central High School. He is excited to be returning to the MDT stage having last been seen in “The Sound of Music” as Kurt von Trapp. His credits include Lord Dunn in “Channeling Grimm '' the fall drama club performance at FCHS and Schwartz in "A Christmas Story".
From Auburn, AL, Matthew is a proud graduate of the University of Memphis with a BFA in acting. Go Tigers! Some of his favorite credits include Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Tuzenbach in Three Sisters, and Franz Kafka in Asking Strangers the Meaning of Life. Matthew has also appeared on the INSP Network in Into the Wild Frontier. He would like to thank all his family and friends for their support! #WEMEMBOYS. 1 John 4:9-10
TJ is from Decatur, IN, and graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s in Voice Performance. They have toured with Missoula Children’s Theatre, performed six seasons with the Round Barn Theatre at the former Amish Acres, and has covered many different staff and technical positions throughout their career. Myers Dinner Theatre has become their home away from home. Favorite credits include: Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, Jaxson in Steeple People, Jesus in Godspell, Pap/King in Big River, Mr. Bumble in Oliver! and Willard Hewitt in Footloose! Thank you to everyone who supports their dreams.
John is thrilled to be back at Myers, having performed here in Souvenir (2018) and Mamma Mia! (2019), and Music Directed The Little Mermaid, Little Women and The Ark (2020). He has been performing since the age of 5 when he sang his first solo at his kindergarten graduation. He has been a part of the Indianapolis theatre scene since 1980 and has worked at most of the theaters in town. John is an 18-time Encore Award Winner and was named “Best Actor In A Musical” by the Indianapolis Star for his portrayal of Ko-Ko in The Mikado at the Edyvean. He is thrilled to have appeared in the World Premiere of Hairspray in concert with the Indianapolis & Baltimore Symphony Orchestras, starring Tony Award Winner, Beth Leavel, Mickey Dolenz of “The Monkees”, & John Waters, the author of Hairspray.
Dion is a Chicago native with a B.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College . Myers audiences may recognize him from Doublewide, Texas (Baby) and Into the Woods (Baker). Credits include: Mamma Mia (Harry Bright), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Frank N Furter), Sheer Madness (Tony Whitcomb), Double Wide Texas (Baby) and The Addams Family (Mal Beineke). He wishes to thank this hardworking cast and crew for all of their hard work and sharing their talent. Much love to his family, friends and especially, Serge, for all of the love and support.
Jessica is from Terre Haute, IN where she lives with her husband, Ethan, and their three cats, Coretta, Beanie Baker, and Refried. Jessica has worked on shows out at Myers Dinner Theatre since 2012. When she isn't working in theatre, she enjoys working with her house plant collection and watching cooking shows with Ethan. She would like to thank Ethan, her family, and her friends for supporting her dream of pursuing a career in theatre.
