Fascinating Rhythm: The Gershwins in Song is a cornucopia of musical gems from two of the towering musical talents of Broadway—George and Ira Gershwin. The song list includes such favorites as "Embraceable You," "I Got Rhythm," "You Can’t Take That Away From Me," "I’ve Got a Crush On You," "Strike Up the Band," and a host of others. The story of their writing partnership is told in their own words as well as tales from the people who knew them: Ethel Merman, Fred Astaire, Oscar Levant, Kay Swift and Kitty Carlisle. The songs the brothers wrote have become a huge part of the American Songbook. They are songs we still love today—or as Judy Garland sang to Mickey Rooney: “I love a Gershwin tune. How about you?”
